Seriously, this book is well-written and useful not only for seasoned card players looking for an official interpretation of a minor dispute between friends, but also is written simply enough and in plain enough language to be able to learn ANY card game in it by just reading its description and full rules. There are also the rules and caveats to the many different variations of various games it describes--such as Gin Rummy: it has all the major variants of regular rummy listed and explained so one can play virtually any variant of any major popular game in the book. Not all of the games contained therein are "popular" these days, but most of them are. The sections on Bridge, Whist, Poker and so on are detailed enough to learn these games, but without confusion for new players.
